STEAM: Lego Chain Reactions, littleBits Electronic Gadgets, and Coding (Rotation Day 3)

STEAM Rotations


STEAM is an educational approach to learning that uses Science, Technology, Engineering, the Arts and Mathematics as access points for guiding student inquiry, dialogue, and critical thinking. The end results are students who take thoughtful risks, engage in experiential learning, persist in problem-solving, embrace collaboration, and work through the creative process. Objective and Lesson Frame:
  •  We will work through STEAM activities in an effort to guide student inquiry, dialogue, and critical thinking.
  • I will work take thoughtful risks, engage in experiential learning, persist in problem-solving, embrace collaboration, and work through the creative process.


Our first three days of rotations, will include these activities:

Rotation 1:  Lego Chain Reactions
  • Quintopple
  • Dominoes
Rotation 2:  littleBits Gizmos and Gadgets
  • Build and Play (Intro)
  • Breezy Buddy
  • Spinmate
Rotation 3:  Coding
