  • I will complete the Moby Max benchmark and finish my Factors and Multiples Flipgrid.

We spent our class time taking the Moby Max benchmark. I will use this information, along with the Think Through Math benchmark, and the 4th Grade STAAR scores to determine my RTI (Response to Intervention) groups.

Some students were able to finish and complete their Flipgrid video on the factors and multiples of 24.

Bell Ringer:  Which One Doesn't Belong

http://wodb.ca/shapes.html

Lesson Frame
  • We will work with factors and multiples of numbers.
  • I will find the factors of 24, the first 5 multiples of 24, and explain the differences between factors and multiples.
Lesson

I will explain today's class by showing the two rotations my classes worked through:

     Factors and Multiples Cootie Catchers

  • Group 1
    • Teacher table comparing factors and multiples using two-way Venn diagrams.
    • Think Through Math
  • Group 2
  • Group 3
  • Group 4
    • Think Through Math
    • Teacher table comparing factors and multiples using two-way Venn diagrams.
The kids really seemed to enjoy the activities!  They gave me quite some insight into confusion about factors and multiples!

Students completed the sheet I gave them finding factors and multiples of 24.  I also asked them to explain 3 differences between factors and multiples.

They will use this as a script for a Flipgrid video tomorrow.
