Sneak Peek Lego Challenge

Bell Ringer:  Would You Rather

Would You Rather...

Lesson Frame:
  • We will work collaboratively as a table group to recreate a Lego sculpture.
  • I will describe how I will work in a group to ensure both my success and the success of the group.
Lesson:

Today, I set up a Lego challenge to lead into a discussion on working in teams. I used a challenge I found online called "Sneak a Peek." I used the instructions from their site:

This was a great activity for my classes! While no one was successful, it allowed us to discuss challenges faced and how those were overcome. Using our discussions, we created "Secret to Success" posters for each class that we will refer to as we work in teams throughout the year.

We also had a little bit of time in each class to view the Flipgrid videos that were created using our Math About Me pages from the first day of school.
